History of profession in India in relation to Organisation
1.In 1909,the Bengal Excise Act was implanted.
2.In 1912 the United Provinces prevention of Adulteration Act was established.
3.In 1914,the Punjab Excise Act was established.
4. In 1919,the Poison Act was implimented.
5.Indian Government on 11th August, 1930 appointed a committee whose chair person was late College. R. N Chora. In 1931 the committee published its report.
6.The dangerous drug Act and Drug Enquiry committee under the Chairmanship of College. R. N Chopra were passed in 1930.
7.In 1941 ,the 1st All India Pharmaceutical Conference was held at Bananas.
8.In 1945, the Drugs and Cosmetic Act and rules was established.
9. In 1946 Association of pharmaceutical Teachers of India was formed.
10.In 19480 the Indian Pharmaceutical Congress Association was developed in Kolkata.
11.The Indian pharmacopoeial Committee was constituted in 1948.
12.In 1949 the pharmacy Council of India was established.
13.In 1953,the 1st Education Regulations were framed and emeded in 1972,1981 and 1991.
14.The drug and magic remedies Act, 1954 was passed to stop misleading advertisement.
15.In1955 medicinal and toilet preparations Act was passed.
16.In 1961 the Indian Drug manufacturers association was established.
17.In 1963 Indian Hospital pharmacist association was formed.
18.In 1979 All India Organization of chemist and Drugist was formed.
19. In 1980 All Indian Pharmacy Graduates Association was established.
20.Narcotic and Psychotropic substances Act was passed in 1985.
21.In 1948 an emendment in Pharmacy Act 1948 was made that restricted the pharmacy practice only to qualified Registered Pharmacist.
22.In 1955 the Drug Price Control Over was formed.
